Project Description:

EBA, in partnership with the Mobility Advancement Group, conducted the Baldwin Park Transit Study to improve local transit by analyzing services and proposing enhancements.  Examining fixed-route and dial-a-ride systems, the study identified inefficiencies and declining ridership while focusing on passenger satisfaction and productivity.  Findings showed an eight-year ridership decline, with peer benchmarks highlighting low productivity and high costs.  Outreach, including a Transit Summit with 45 participants and surveys, was performed to enhance the study.  Community feedback stressed the need for better marketing and micro-transit.  Recommendations included fare reductions, route adjustments, marketing, and zero-emission vehicles to meet state requirements.  These strategies aim to double fixed-route ridership, increase dial-a-ride use, and remain cost-neutral while modernizing infrastructure and enhancing user experience.
