Status:
April 2018 – February 2019

Project Description:

EBA worked with Pasadena’s Department of Transportation on a multi-modal corridor analysis considering modes of transportation, transportation needs, and safety enhancements around Allen Avenue.  Providing direct access to residential units, businesses, local colleges, and recreational facilities, the Allen Avenue corridor includes a light rail station, bus stops, rideshare drop-offs, bicycle, pedestrian, and vehicular traffic.

For this effort, our staff developed and conducted surveys, met and interviewed pedestrians, bicyclists, business, and property owners along the corridor, and conducted several community outreach meetings. All gathered data and responses were used to identify mode use, safety concerns, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance and increase usage for the development of conceptual designs for future first/last mile, active transportation, and transit improvement projects.
