follow url Under IBI Group, EBA and Michael Brooks International worked together with community stakeholders and the City of West Covina to identify problems within current “Go West” Shuttle and Dial-a-Ride services. In addition to long wait times, one-way travel, and dated Dial-a-Ride booking and shuttle route accessibility, ridership of the Go West Shuttle services has declined by 60-80% in past years due in part to the Covid-19 pandemic. This initiative aimed to facilitate opportunities for public input and provide recommendations for collaborative solutions as part of an analytic and comprehensive transit service evaluation to increase ridership and improve Go West, Dial-a-Ride, and “last-mile” transportation services within the project area. Led by EBA, public engagement activities included two rounds of public stakeholder meetings hosted using Zoom, media relations and informational content that communicated key project messaging, and community and transit user surveys.
