Hal Suetsugu, MA
Hal Suetsugu has more than 30 years of experience managing award-winning transportation and grant-funded projects and plans for municipalities and regional agencies, including the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) and the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG). This includes, but is not limited to, serving as Project Manager or task manager for major corridor studies, feasibility studies, traffic impact analysis, complete streets plans, alternative analyses, transit-oriented development, and safe routes master plans. His experience includes safety analysis for a range of transportation issues, including traffic calming, pedestrian linkages, bike corridors, sidewalk improvements, ADA compliance, and bus transit. Mr. Suetsugu also has experience in urban planning, legislative policy planning, public and community relations, public and private sector contracts administration, federal, state and regional agency liaison, and intergovernmental coordination.
As Metro’s former Funding Program Coordinator, Mr. Suetsugu has extensive knowledge of local, state, and Federal grant writing and grant management processes. To this end, Mr. Suetsugu has uniquely integrated the company’s specialties of transportation planning, environmental administration, and funds management into an efficient and strategic planning and development team that proactively solves public municipality issues.
