Project Description:

As a current, former, or future recipient of Federal Urbanized Area Formula (§5307) grant funds, the City of Gardena’s Transportation Department (GTrans) is required to report ridership, passenger miles, and other data to the National Transit Database (NTD) on a monthly and annual basis. EBA performed the City of Gardena’s Transportation Department (GTrans) 2017-2018 NTD data collection for its municipal bus lines. In addition to project management, our services included:

• Surveying weekly trips between August 1, 2017 and July 31, 2019 based on the NTD Sampling Manual
• All data collected was entered into an NTD spreadsheet that generated total passengers, total passenger miles, and average passenger miles by trip for inclusion in the City’s NTD report
• EBA was responsible for hiring, training, and supervising surveyors, processing of NTD data, and submitting monthly data to the City
